Time Goals per Project with Notifications
Mateusz
Problem Statement
Chronoid tracks time beautifully, but there's no way to set a target and get notified when you're falling behind. I track both client work and daily study sessions (exam prep, language learning), and I only realize I missed a goal when I check stats at the end of the day — by then it's too late.
Proposed Feature: Time Goals per Project
- Set an optional daily and/or weekly time goal on any project (e.g., "2h/day", "10h/week")
- Show progress inline in the sidebar (e.g., 1.2h / 2h)
- Send a native notification if it's past a configurable time (e.g., 6 PM) and the daily goal isn't met yet
- Weekly summary showing goal adherence per project (hit 5/7 days, etc.)
Bonus: Pomodoro Integration
"You're 45 min short on Project X today — start a Pomodoro?" would be a killer nudge that ties the existing Pomodoro feature directly into goals.
Benefit
This closes the loop between passive tracking and active accountability. Especially valuable for the student/learner use case where daily consistency matters more than total hours.
